Foundation Fieldbus and PROFIBUS are international, non-proprietary communications standard used primarily in the process control industry. Fieldbus provides a digital, two-way, multi-drop communication link among intelligent field devices and automation systems.
E.D. Engineering is an active member of the FieldComm Group, a non-profit member organization that works together “to direct the development, incorporation and implementation of communication technologies for the process industries.” The FieldComm Group was established in January 2015.
